When Blue October became popular with their song, "Hate Me" I almost dismissed them. I was quite impressed with how hard hitting the song's lyrics were (in my opinion they approximate poetry), but I believed that they must be some sort of depressed emo band and so I stayed away. Then I bought their album for my sister's birthday as she seemed to really like them. After listening through I became a major fan. The way the music and lyrical rhythm coordinate in "Pulling Heaven Down" has so far not been matched by any other contemporary musician I have heard. I would encourage you to give it a listen: "Sound of Pulling Heaven Down"
