Yes it is. That and the fact that Daron Malakian (SOAD guitarist/vocalist) has formed his own band. It's a shame but hopefully these new careers will sound great too.

well look at it this way mike shinoda of linkin part went to form Fort minor and alot of people thought that linkin park was over with but now we are in 07 and they released a new album and now they r on tour with Him, MCR, Taking back sunday and more. any way....SOAD is on a break maybe in 2008 or 09 they will come back stronger than ever.

They really won't. AS brilliant as they were, the members have moved on and it doesn't seem as thought they'll be looking back.

Yeah, I doubt System of a Down is going to come back. However, I thought Elect the Dead was pretty decent. I'll follow ace's sentiments in hoping something good will come of it.
