Just wondering if other people were like me. When you are waiting for a band/artist to come out with a new cd, does it piss you off when they post on their site, or send out newsletters saying "Woo yea, new cd coming out "date" " but then, when that date comes around....no cd....then you check out the site....all of a sudden, no more post about new cd.... very very irritating IMO.

Call it wishful thinking...but I'm still waiting for AC/DC to make another CD.

this is actually very distressing, i hate it when people say they are going to do something, and then don't follow through. Kind of like telling your parents you are going to take out the trash......

I decided it was easier to expend the variety of bands i listened to, to the point that there was always something new to listen to so i was never really waiting for a new cd, also, i try not to get too too excited about new cd's, because they often aren't what you expect them to be..

Well, I wish rage against the machine would make a new album (not that they have said anything about doing so).

Almost all their songs are good! Sadly they only released 4 albums... Imo the first (Rage Against the Machine) and third (Battle of Los Angeles) were the best ones. The other two were still great.

I heard they may be re-uniting however! I can't wait.

Indeed, it is irritating. Like Black Sabbath's new LP that they're supposed to be doing, it seems that it keeps being delayed.

Its better to buy from independent records stores for a couple of reasons.

1. They usually carry harder to find records, none of that britney spears nonsense.
2. The artist themselves get paid more money then if you were to buy it at walmart
3. Usually the staff at an indie record store are super knowledgeable and can introduce you to new bands
4. Walmart/bestbuy/etc never carry underground music and if for some reason they happen to catch a rare CD they charge $30 as an "Import" when they only paid $3 for it.

The reason record stores are more expensive is because they don't buy in bulk quantities

also when you buy a CD you are paying for the art or music itself, not how much the CD production costs...its like buying a painting but only paying for the price of the canvas...

yeah it sucks when they delay the cd album date. it could also be bad shipping or something. if thats the case, you can usually buy it online at a music store like itunes and stuff...or [violation - post edit]...
