I was wondering what kind of music you guy's listen to when working out; and particularly what songs. I just got an ipod and have been looking for some good songs to fire me up.

So far I have:

Range Against the Machie - Wakeup,
Gorillaz- Dirty Harry
Linkin Park ft. Jay z- Encore
A few Dimu Boiger songs- Unknown Titles
and Some In Falmes

These dont really last me all to long and I hate to replay them over and over. So any good suggestions?

3. Rush - Fly By Night
4. Pink Floyd - Take It Back
5. Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Pt. 1
6. AC/DC - Jailbreak
7. Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song
8. Rush - Anthem
9. Rush - YYZ
10. AC/DC - Hells Bells

listening to music is dumb when working out, its a mental crutch when pushing your body to its limits.

How so?

I've worked out with and without music and I have found that I can push myself to the limits if I have a song to fire me up.

It's all about the mindset it puts you in, and when you get in the zone you feel like a God.

I totally forgot about DMX too!

If you like DMX you might like some of Ludacris's darker songs like Move Bitch or some Eminem like Go to Sleep or Till I Collapse and Lil Jon. Those are all I can think of now.

it is a bit of a crutch. like when im doing weights or push ups or something and im getting to that stage where i feel i cant do any more and it hurts, it helps me to have some music in the background, i cant start focusing on the lyrics and stuff and that takes my mind off the part where i cant carry on, thus making me able to carry on.

i like having difrent stuff on.

metallica - i have there best songs on for working out, master of puppets, battery stuff like that.
i dont put there slow songs on as i dont like them

offspring - i put there songs that sound most rockish.like want you bad and stuff. i hate there songs like
pretty fly and stuff like that.

foo fighters- yet again i have there most rock like songs on, like monkey wrench and all my life. i relly dont
like foo fighters slower songs (exept everlong, i like that)

Lostprophets - i like to have there older stuff on, its more metal then the songs on liberation transmition

i cant be botherd going on. but i like to have music with heavy beats and stuff on when working out.like angry sounding, to get me into 'the zone' as ill call it sonce everybody else calls it that
Thorn
"Good Vibrations" - Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, anyone? lol
